Workshop: Delve Deeper

Delve Deeper is a unique series of workshops designed to help students move into a body consciousness which spans a spectrum from understanding and activation into experience and finally towards rejuvenation. This three-part series combines Organ Rhythms (from the Franklin Method® utilizing Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery© tools to expand one’s insight into the inner self, and create a felt perception of anatomy and organs), Yoga Asana (to activate and integrate experiences), and Restorative Yoga (cultivating rejuvenation and revitalization). Each workshop offers transformation through svadhyaya (self-study), asana (physical practice), pranayama (breath work) and dharana (single pointed focus). Combined, these elements offer students greater awareness and the tools necessary to foster, cultivate and maintain good health and wellness.

The workshops are designed to stand alone or take as a series.

The Diaphragm and Lungs link your movement and relaxation to your organ health.

At YOGA SOURCE

Both Yaco Murphy and Rie Cherie obtained their Yoga Teacher Training Certifications (200 and 300) through Yoga Works at Yoga Source in Richmond Virginia (circa 2009). This is where they formed their bond rooted in friendship, curiosity and a love for Yoga. Together the two have flourished in their careers united under a common goal of helping others to find wellness. Yaco continued her studies to become a Certified Yoga Works Yoga Teacher, while Rie moved forward to obtain certification as a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). After 10 years the pair still enjoy attending training’s and teaching classes together. They offer a monthly community class at Bryan Park and recently attended a Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Course with Jillian Pransky at Kripalu. The development of this series is a manifestation of their dream to continue working together, and to continue offering opportunities of health and wellness to the people around them. Both Yaco and Rie are excited to offer you this unique, feel good opportunity to Delve Deeper.

Chair Yoga every Monday at 10:15am @ Yoga Source

‘Chair’ is a very helpful tool(prop) for practicing yoga. ‘Chair’ could help you to ground(stability), to elongate(space), and to learn body awareness.

<why practice?>

  • Hard to get up from the floor BECAUSE of injuries, sickness, elderly and etc..
  • Have balance issues
  • Want to learn how to use chair for your yoga practice

It is worth to try!!

<what to expect?>

We practice while sitting in chair or standing while holding chair. We also use other props which are blocks, strap, blanket etc.. to adjust to various people’s needs and to make more yoga pose(Asanas) accessible. Breathing practice(Pranayama) and/or Meditation(short) included.

Let’s improve your body function, self-awareness, and clarity in your mind, while bringing a sense of calmness and balance to your emotions.

Namaste🙏
